Build Your Own Aspiration in HabitSpark AI
Create a custom Aspiration around any goal that matters to you, attach your own habits, and get AI coaching built around what you're actually trying to achieve.

HabitSpark AI starts you with four Aspirations — Get Healthier, Be More Productive, Find Inner Peace and Level Up My Life. They cover a lot of ground, but they're a starting point, not a cage. If the thing you're working towards doesn't fit neatly into one of them, you can now build your own.
A custom Aspiration lets you name the exact goal you care about and gather your own habits beneath it — so the app is tracking your ambition, in your words, not a category someone else picked for you.
Why build your own
The four built-in Aspirations are broad identities. A custom one is a specific commitment. "Run My First Half-Marathon", "Save for a House Deposit", "Learn to Play Piano" — these aren't vague themes, they're concrete goals with their own set of habits. When the app tracks the goal you actually hold, every habit underneath it feels purposeful, and your progress reads as progress on that thing, not on an abstraction.
How to create one
- Open the add Aspiration screen — the same place you choose from the built-in Aspirations.
- Tap "Create your own".
- Give it a name and pick an icon that fits.
- Add habits to it — brand-new ones, or habits you're already tracking. (Remember: a habit can belong to more than one Aspiration, so a single good habit can support several goals at once.)
- Save, and your custom Aspiration appears right alongside the built-in ones, working exactly the same way — daily headline, weekly context, tap-to-expand breakdown, and the progress bar that turns gold when you've done everything due today.
That's it. There's no separate place to hunt for it later — your own Aspirations live in the same picker as the originals.
Worked examples to borrow
Not sure where to start? Here are a few structures you can copy straight into your own Aspiration:
Build Wealth Habits
- Track your spending once a day
- One no-spend day a week
- Read one article on money each week
Get Stronger
- Strength session three times a week
- Hit your protein target
- Lights out by a set time
Learn Consistently
- Study or practise 20 minutes a day
- Review your notes once a week
- Finish one lesson or chapter a week
Each of these is just a name and a handful of habits — which is all an Aspiration ever is. Make it yours: swap the habits, rename it, add your own.
Coaching built around your goal
Here's where a custom Aspiration earns its place. Your AI Coach works from the habits you've attached and your real completion data — so it can tell you which habit is the strongest anchor of your goal, which one tends to slip, and how to keep momentum, all framed around the Aspiration you named. It coaches your actual behaviour and your actual numbers, in the tone you've chosen. Pick your name, attach your habits, and the guidance follows.
A few tips
- Keep it tight. Three or four habits that genuinely drive the goal beat a long list you can't keep up with.
- Reuse habits you already have. If a habit helps the new goal too, attach it — one tick moves every Aspiration it belongs to.
- Rename freely. Your Aspiration is yours; call it whatever keeps you motivated.
